This slide show was developed to show service groups, and other organizations whose members aren't hams. However I've discovered that hams like it too. It follows the early radio pioneers, Amateur Radio development, and modern rigs in a non technical and informative manner, On the air recordings are played, including a reproduction of the Titanic's distress call, a space capsule contact, and a 20M SSB contact. CNN's video broadcast after the Tsunami is also played, and the role of hams in disaster relief is highlighted. This takes about an hour, less for a ham audience, and is a Power Point multi media presentation with audio, video, and 26 slides. It's 100 meg in size(!) so If you're interested in viewing it, I'll send a CD.

This presentration was featured in the March 7, 2008 RAIN Report. Thank you Hap, KC9RP.
